Lead Construction Engineer – Site Construction Manager

About the role

Worley is seeking a Lead Construction Engineer to drive construction and completions capability across PMC projects. You will ensure design integrity, manage the construction department, and execute projects in line with field contracts.

Key responsibilities

• Promote construction involvement in technical design, scheduling, execution planning and cost estimating.
• Maintain awareness of capabilities and workload of construction support providers and contractors.
• Oversee all construction and completions personnel, ensuring technical competence.
• Forecast and allocate construction engineering resources, preparing man‑hour estimates.
• Drive cost‑reduction and productivity initiatives.
• Prepare weekly progress and expenditure reports for each project.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in engineering; postgraduate experience preferred.
• Significant experience on major oil & gas projects in a lead role.
• Proven track record of leading multidisciplinary teams.
• Familiarity with heavy‑lifting equipment and large earth‑moving activities.
• Experience in pre‑commissioning, commissioning and performance testing.
• Ability to work under tight deadlines with minimal supervision.
