Lead Quality Assurance & Quality Control Engineer

About the role

KBR’s Sustainable Technology Solutions (STS) group is seeking a Lead Quality Assurance & Quality Control Engineer for a 5‑year PMC contract supporting Kuwait Oil Company. The role will drive the development, implementation and continuous improvement of project quality management systems across new and upgraded oil‑field facilities.

Key responsibilities

• Facilitate the creation and effective execution of Project Quality Management Systems in line with corporate, location and contractual requirements.
• Manage verification and inspection activities, ensuring compliance with criticality assessments, contractual and regulatory obligations.
• Oversee quality support functions including quality planning, preventive actions, non‑conformance control, corrective actions, audits and quality reporting.
• Collaborate with the HSE/QA‑QC Manager and Project Management Team to align with the WorleyParsons Project Management Process (WPMP) and Enterprise Management standards.
• Lead and develop a team of quality practitioners, ensuring adequate resourcing and expertise.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
• 12 years total post‑graduation experience, including at least 8 years in oil & gas projects and 5 years in a similar QA/QC leadership role.
• Deep understanding of quality management principles and improvement of management systems.
• Extensive experience with plant and vendor inspection of mechanical equipment on‑shore and off‑shore.
• Proven ability to develop, update and maintain in‑house technical standards and specifications.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills for reporting and presentations.
• Demonstrated capability in planning, organizing and managing quality activities and teams.
