About the role
The company is seeking a Legal Assistant to support its intellectual property (IP) practice. You will work closely with the legal team to protect clients’ IP rights and handle infringement matters.
Key responsibilities
- Provide legal advice on infringement and counterfeit issues and recommend actions.
- Manage and monitor enforcement cases across various IP domains.
- Prepare correspondence, reports, and warning letters for clients and counterparts.
- Conduct trademark, patent, copyright, and domain‑name research.
- Liaise with external lawyers and company branches to gather feedback on cases.
- Review IP‑related agreements such as licensing and franchise contracts.
- Draft and file complaints with government authorities (municipality, ministry, customs).
- Perform market visits and inspections to identify potential counterfeiting activities.
Required profile
- Bachelor of Laws degree.
- 0–2 years of experience in the legal field, preferably IP.
- Kuwaiti residency.
- Fluent in Arabic and English.
- Strong analytical ability and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
