Loss Prevention Officer – Luxury Retail

About the role

The Loss Prevention Officer safeguards people, assets, merchandise and the brand reputation across luxury retail stores. You will lead efforts to minimise inventory shrinkage, prevent theft and fraud, and ensure a safe environment for employees and customers while upholding premium service standards.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and implement loss‑prevention procedures to reduce theft, fraud and financial loss.
• Conduct regular store inspections, audits and risk assessments.
• Investigate internal and external theft, vendor fraud and policy violations, and prepare detailed reports.
• Identify inventory discrepancies, stock shortages and unusual loss trends, recommending corrective actions.
• Oversee physical and electronic security systems, including CCTV, alarm systems, access control, sensor tags and locks.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and emergency procedures, responding promptly to incidents.
• Collaborate with store managers, operations teams and law‑enforcement authorities as needed.
• Educate store staff on loss‑prevention policies, security procedures and fraud‑prevention techniques.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree (field not specified).
• Experience in loss prevention, asset protection or retail security.
• Strong investigative and analytical abilities.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.

Required skills

• Proficiency with CCTV monitoring systems.
• Knowledge of alarm and access‑control systems.
• Familiarity with sensor‑tag technology and electronic locks.
• Basic understanding of surveillance techniques.
