About the role
Amentum is seeking qualified Malayalam linguists to support U.S. military operations in Kuwait. This position is on an as‑needed basis, with applications processed for future openings.
Key responsibilities
- Provide operational linguist support during interviews, meetings, and conferences.
- Transcribe, analyze, and translate verbal communications and foreign language documents.
- Supply cultural insights and contextual understanding of regional trends to senior leadership.
Required profile
- U.S. citizenship with a valid passport.
- ILR Level 3 proficiency in Malayalam and Level 2+ in English (oral and written).
- Willingness to obtain and maintain an active Secret clearance.
- Ability to work in Kuwait, including shifts and extended hours for 24/7 operations.
- Familiarity with local culture and customs; pass a medical examination.
