Medical Affairs Professional – Cardiometabolic (Upper Gulf)

About the role

The Cardiometabolic Medical Affairs Professional (MAP) is a clinical scientist who will support Lilly’s cardiometabolic portfolio across the Upper Gulf region, based in Kuwait. The MAP will translate scientific data into compliant content, partner with brand teams, and engage healthcare professionals.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the primary medical contact for the cardiometabolic brand team, providing clinical and scientific input.
• Support medical launch activities, develop local brand plans, and review promotional materials.
• Gather and analyse customer insights from HCPs to inform medical and brand strategy.
• Plan and execute symposia, advisory boards, and scientific exchange events.
• Contribute to medical plans, data analysis, slide sets, and publications (abstracts, posters, manuscripts).
• Respond to unsolicited scientific inquiries in compliance with company policies.

Required profile

• Advanced degree in health sciences (PharmD, MD, MSc or PhD) with 2‑3 years relevant experience.
• Clinical or therapeutic experience in the pharmaceutical industry, preferably in cardiometabolic areas.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and project‑management skills.
• Ability to work across functions and influence stakeholders.
• Understanding of Gulf healthcare environment and Ministry of Health requirements.

Required skills

• Knowledge of cardiometabolic disease states, treatments and investigational compounds.
• Ability to translate scientific data into clear, compliant customer communications.
• Experience interacting with cardiometabolic healthcare professionals and thought leaders.
