Motorsport Wiring & Electronics Technician

About the role

Projx Racing is looking for a highly skilled Motorsport Wiring & Electronics Technician to join its Kuwait workshop. The role involves designing, building, and installing race‑grade wiring harnesses, integrating ECUs and data systems, and providing on‑site support during testing and race events.

Key responsibilities

• Design, construct, modify and repair professional motorsport engine and chassis harnesses.
• Select appropriate wire types, gauges, connectors, heat‑shrink, sleeving and circuit protection.
• Perform crimping, soldering, splicing, sealing, routing and strain‑relief tasks to produce clean, lightweight, serviceable wiring systems.
• Integrate MoTeC ECUs, PDMs, displays, keypads, data loggers and standalone electronics while maintaining factory ECU functions.
• Support dual‑ECU installations, ensuring proper grounding, shielding, power distribution and electrical protection.
• Carry out bench‑based harness construction, vehicle installation, dyno testing, commissioning and race‑day on‑site diagnostics.

Required profile

• Proven experience in professional motorsport harness construction and vehicle electronics.
• Hands‑on ability to manage projects from assessment through to final delivery.
• Flexibility to work outside regular hours for dyno testing, urgent projects and race‑day support.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing reliable, serviceable wiring systems.
