Night Tool Pusher

About the role

The Night Tool Pusher supervises and controls all drilling activities during the night shift, ensuring safe and efficient well completion while supporting the Senior Tool Pusher as needed.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain safety of personnel, equipment and the environment on the drill floor and associated areas.
• Plan, schedule and direct all night‑shift drilling operations in line with the client’s well plan.
• Verify and approve any deviation from the client’s Game Plan, ensuring proper documentation and change‑management approval.
• Coordinate with the Senior Tool Pusher and client representatives on program progress and communicate updates to the driller.
• Ensure all rig procedures, including Job Safety Analyses (JSA) and Permits to Work (PTW), are prepared and of high quality before operations commence.
• Assist and supervise the drilling crew, monitor circulating time, well stability and respond to hole problems.
• Participate in the rig’s Emergency Response Team, conduct safety and well‑control drills, and oversee emergency procedures.

Required profile

• Proven experience in night‑shift drilling operations and crew supervision.
• Strong knowledge of well‑control principles and emergency response protocols.
• Ability to interpret and enforce client well plans and change‑management processes.
• Excellent communication skills for liaising with senior staff, clients and on‑site personnel.
• Commitment to safety, environmental protection and operational efficiency.
