Patient Care Tech I – 2nd Floor Rehab

About the role

The Patient Care Tech I supports patients and families on the 2nd Floor Rehab unit by providing basic care, monitoring, and hygiene assistance. As the team member who spends the most time with patients, you will need compassion, strong interpersonal skills, and clear communication with both families and the broader healthcare team.

Key responsibilities

• Assist patients and families with daily care activities, hygiene, and monitoring.
• Ensure that all aspects of patient care are completed accurately and timely.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the multidisciplinary healthcare team.
• Work flexible hours to meet the needs of the rehab unit.

Required profile

• Completion of 12 college credit hours, including a passing grade in English Composition (C or higher) and an overall GPA of 2.0 or greater.
• Willingness to work flexible hours.
• Strong organizational, verbal, and written communication abilities.
• Ability to learn and apply new healthcare-related skills.
• Proactive problem‑solving and teamwork orientation.

Required skills

• CPR (training will be provided).
