Senior Captain (Clinical Pharmacist)

About the role

The Senior Captain (Clinical Pharmacist) provides advanced clinical pharmacy services to military personnel and beneficiaries in Farwaniya. The role focuses on safe, evidence‑based pharmacotherapy, patient counseling, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.

Key responsibilities

• Review and verify medication orders, conduct medication therapy management, and ensure adherence to evidence‑based treatment guidelines.
• Provide patient counseling, monitor for adverse effects and drug interactions, and maintain accurate, confidential clinical documentation.
• Participate in developing medication‑related policies, quality improvement initiatives, and pharmacovigilance activities.
• Train and guide junior pharmacy staff while complying with military protocols and institutional policies.

Required profile

• Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or equivalent degree with valid pharmacist licensure/registration in Kuwait.
• At least 3 years of experience in hospital or clinical pharmacy, preferably within military or government healthcare systems.
• Strong knowledge of pharmacology, dosing protocols, and acute/primary‑care treatment guidelines.
• Excellent communication skills in English; Arabic is beneficial.
