PCP Technician – Progressive Cavity Pump

About the role

The Progressive Cavity Pump (PCP) Technician is responsible for the installation, commissioning, operation and maintenance of PCP equipment in an oil‑field environment. The role ensures safe handling of tools, accurate record‑keeping and strict adherence to HSE and Permit‑to‑Work procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Install, commission, operate and maintain PCP equipment on site.
• Perform preventive maintenance and basic troubleshooting of PCP systems, focusing on drive heads.
• Inspect and replace key components such as rotors, stators and drive heads.
• Support the identification and resolution of mechanical issues in PCP systems.
• Follow operational procedures aligned with oil‑and‑gas field standards.
• Maintain accurate logs of maintenance and operational activities.
• Comply with HSE policies, procedures and Permit‑to‑Work requirements at all times.
• Participate in safety meetings and risk assessments.

Required profile

• Diploma in Mechanical or Automobile Engineering or an equivalent qualification.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in oilfield or mechanical maintenance.
