Planning Engineer

About the role

Worley is seeking a Planning Engineer to independently apply advanced scheduling and planning techniques within energy, chemicals and resources projects. The role supports the Project Services Manager in managing the project schedule and delivering maximum business benefits to the client.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise the planning function during design and construction stages of assigned projects.
• Maintain performance through the HS&E program and ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental and quality systems.
• Manage the Planning Team to deliver complete planning and scheduling services.
• Prepare weekly and monthly reports, analyse contractor reports and provide status updates for project management and client review.
• Liaise with clients, cost and planning teams to implement and continuously improve planning processes.
• Manage asset preparation and shutdown plans, ensuring consistency and accuracy.
• Schedule HSE‑related activities and coordinate with the management team on cost and planning issues.
• Maintain the current and baseline schedule, analyse change impacts and control baseline changes.
• Integrate P3 scheduling data with the Project Management Reporting tool.
• Ensure quality assurance and safety compliance in line with the Oil & Gas Business Unit guidelines.

Required profile

• Engineering degree.
• Minimum 8 years post‑graduation experience.
• At least 5 years experience in a Project Control Engineer or similar role.
• Proven track record of scheduling, monitoring and reporting across multiple project stages.
