Product Development Officer

About the role

Boutiqaat is looking for a Product Development Officer to turn beauty ideas into market‑ready products. You will support the operational side of product creation, coordinating purchases, tracking shipments, and maintaining essential documentation.

Key responsibilities

• Gather market insights, competitor research and customer feedback to support new product ideas.
• Coordinate meetings and communication between internal teams and celebrity‑driven product concepts.
• Create and process purchase orders, track shipments, stock levels and product availability.
• Liaise with product development, vendor management and logistics teams to compile product briefs and timelines.
• Review supplier documentation for quality and pricing compliance.
• Facilitate communication with manufacturers, monitor production schedules and ensure timelines are met.
• Arrange product samples, support basic quality checks and record any production issues.
• Maintain organized records of specifications, purchase orders, shipment details and vendor communications.
• Prepare weekly and monthly updates on product development progress and shipment tracking.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, Business Administration or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in purchasing, supply chain or product development.
• Experience in the beauty or cosmetics industry is a strong advantage.
• Fluent in Arabic and English.
• Basic understanding of product lifecycle processes and purchasing procedures.
• Strong coordination, organization and follow‑up abilities.
• High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.
• Adaptability and willingness to learn in a fast‑paced environment.
