Production Merchandiser (Buyer / Merchandiser)

About the role

Armada Group is hiring a Production Merchandiser (Buyer / Merchandiser) in Al Kuwait. The role covers seasonal product assortment, supplier negotiation, purchase orders and production follow-up, working closely with design, planning, logistics and retail teams.

Key responsibilities

• Develop seasonal product assortments in line with brand direction, market trends, customer preferences and designer requirements.
• Coordinate with design and product development teams to finalise product selections and align them with collection objectives.
• Review product samples for fit, quality, workmanship and compliance with approved designs and specifications.
• Negotiate product costs, commercial terms, profit margins and delivery schedules with suppliers.
• Create and process purchase orders and related transactions using DMS, SAP or other ERP systems.
• Review designer comments and ensure required amendments are made before giving final production approval to suppliers.
• Monitor supplier performance, product quality and ethical sourcing compliance.
• Coordinate photoshoot samples and track purchase orders, production progress and delivery schedules.
• Liaise with logistics and warehouse teams on inbound shipments, stock receipts and deliveries.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Fashion Buying, Fashion Merchandising, Business Administration or a related field.
• 5-15 years of experience in production merchandising, fashion buying, product selection or category management in fashion retail.
• Experience collaborating with design, planning, logistics and retail operations teams.

Required skills

• Proficiency in DMS, SAP or similar ERP systems.
• Photo editing tools such as Paint, Photoshop or Adobe, and Excel.
• Knowledge of product development, pattern and measurements, fashion trends and consumer behaviour.
• Supplier and stakeholder management, cost and margin optimisation, quality control and production follow-up.
• Strong organisation, communication, negotiation and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
