Project Management Engineering Professional (Project Lead Engineer)

About the role

Hitachi, Ltd. is looking for a seasoned Project Management Engineering Professional to lead the technical delivery of complex engineering projects. The role spans the full project lifecycle, from concept through design, testing and deployment, ensuring alignment with business objectives and regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage technical execution of engineering projects, overseeing design, development, testing, and deployment phases.
• Define project technical objectives, scope and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, schedules and resource allocation strategies.
• Identify, assess and mitigate technical risks throughout the project lifecycle.
• Mentor and guide project engineering teams, fostering a collaborative environment.
• Communicate project status, technical challenges and solutions to internal and external stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with engineering standards, quality procedures and regulatory requirements.
• Conduct technical reviews and approve designs, specifications and documentation.
• Collaborate with R&D, manufacturing, procurement and sales to achieve project goals.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 14 years of engineering experience, including at least 5 years in a project lead role.
• Proven track record of delivering complex engineering projects on time and within budget.
• Strong leadership, communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills.
