About the role
Amentum is seeking qualified Punjabi linguists to support U.S. military operations in Kuwait. The role involves providing language services and cultural insight to senior leadership as part of CENTCOM missions.
Key responsibilities
- Interpret spoken Punjabi during interviews, meetings, and conferences for military personnel.
- Transcribe and analyze verbal communications and foreign‑language documents for actionable intelligence.
- Provide translation services and cultural briefings on regional historical, political, sociological, and economic trends.
Required profile
- U.S. citizenship with a valid passport.
- ILR Level 3 proficiency in Punjabi and Level 2+ in English (oral and written).
- Willingness to obtain and maintain an active Secret clearance.
- Ability to work shifts, extended hours, and adapt to local Kuwaiti culture.
Required skills
- Fluency in Punjabi and English.
- Experience in translation, interpretation, and document analysis.
