About the role

The Registrar of Obstetrics & Gynecology provides comprehensive clinical care across outpatient, inpatient, labor, and theatre settings. Working closely with senior consultants, the registrar ensures safe, timely, and compassionate care for mothers and women throughout their treatment journey.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver independent labour management, handling routine to urgent deliveries and escalating when necessary.
• Assist in surgical procedures, including laparoscopy and hysteroscopy, with precision.
• Provide outpatient and ward care, guiding patients from pre‑operative assessment through post‑operative follow‑up.
• Maintain accurate, thorough, and compliant clinical documentation.
• Collaborate with consultants, nurses, midwives, anesthetists, and allied staff to ensure seamless patient care.
• Participate in quality initiatives such as audits, morbidity & mortality meetings, and continuous improvement projects.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of hands‑on OB/GYN experience after completing a Master’s degree.
• MBBS (or equivalent) plus a recognized Master’s in Obstetrics & Gynecology.
• Strong clinical judgement, resilience in high‑pressure situations, and ability to manage obstetric emergencies.
• Proven experience in deliveries, outpatient care, and assisting in surgeries.
• Commitment to patient wellbeing, ethical practice, and teamwork.
