Rope Access Technician Level 1 – Marine & Offshore

About the role

Palfinger Marine is seeking a Rope Access Technician Level 1 to support marine and offshore operations in Doha. The role involves performing rope access tasks at height, assisting with installation, inspection, repair and maintenance while adhering to strict safety and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Perform rope access operations at height for installation, inspection, repair and maintenance using approved techniques and safety protocols.
• Support equipment installation and maintenance by applying mechanical, electrical, welding and instrumentation knowledge.
• Follow work instructions, permits and procedures to ensure tasks are completed safely and efficiently.
• Collaborate with team members to communicate technical information and resolve operational issues.
• Maintain tools, equipment and documentation in accordance with safety standards and company policies.

Required profile

• IRATA Level 1 certification with a valid rope access qualification.
• Minimum diploma‑level education in a relevant technical field.
• At least 5 years of experience in the oil and gas industry or similar marine/offshore environment.
• Technical qualification through structured training or vocational education is preferred.
