RPA Avionics Technician I – Deployment Pool

About the role

The successful candidate will join a Deployment Pool supporting Remote Piloted Aircraft (RPA) avionics maintenance across CONUS and OCONUS locations. This position requires flexibility to travel and work on varied schedules while performing electronic maintenance, inspections, and modifications on RPA systems and related support equipment.

Key responsibilities

• Apply basic technical knowledge to resolve complex avionics problems affecting operational readiness.
• Maintain, repair, and install a variety of electronic equipment using common and advanced test instruments.
• Interpret Air Force technical orders, manufacturers’ manuals, and other technical publications to guide repairs.
• Read and follow blueprints, wiring diagrams, and data tables with limited supervision.
• Inspect and operate ground support and auxiliary equipment as required.
• Perform additional duties assigned by Production Staff or Avionics Leads.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent military/vocational technical training.
• Minimum of one year experience in aircraft avionics or Ground Control Station (GCS) maintenance.
• Basic understanding of electronics principles, RFF systems, and aircraft flight control theory.
• Eligibility to obtain an IAT Level II certification (e.g., CCNA Security, CySA+, GICSP, Security+ CE, SSCP, GSEC) within 90 days of hire.
• Ability to meet OCONUS deployment medical and readiness criteria.
