Safety Officer

About the role

The Safety Officer will lead the implementation and monitoring of health, safety and environmental (HSE) policies across our engineering projects in Kuwait. You will work closely with management and site teams to prevent accidents, ensure regulatory compliance and foster a strong safety culture.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement and maintain HSE policies and procedures.
• Ensure compliance with local, national and international HSE regulations.
• Conduct regular site inspections, safety audits and risk assessments.
• Identify hazards, propose and enforce control measures.
• Investigate accidents, incidents and near‑misses and prepare detailed reports.
• Deliver safety training, toolbox talks and awareness programmes.
• Monitor the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and maintain HSE records.
• Coordinate emergency response plans, drills and waste‑management practices.
• Advise management on safety improvements and compliance issues.

Required profile

• BTech/B.E. or Diploma in a relevant field.
• 6‑8 years of experience in HSE or safety management.
• Strong knowledge of HSE regulations applicable in Kuwait.
• Proven ability to conduct inspections, audits and incident investigations.
• Excellent communication skills for training and reporting.
