Sales Engineer – Laboratory Business

About the role

Inchcape Shipping Services is seeking a Sales Engineer to drive growth for its Laboratory Business in Kuwait. The role combines technical product knowledge with proactive sales and business development to serve clients across oil & gas, water, wastewater, power, petrochemical, and research sectors.

Key responsibilities

• Generate revenue by promoting principal products to consultants, end‑users, and EPC contractors and achieving sales budgets.
• Identify and develop new niche markets, source new clients, and expand relationships with existing customers.
• Plan and execute marketing activities such as principal visits, presentations, and exhibitions.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and produce regular sales performance reports.
• Track project opportunities from concept through commissioning, ensuring specifications align with principal products.
• Manage contracts to ensure compliance with company and government requirements while protecting profit margins.
• Control debt collections to maintain low average debtor balances and credit periods.

Required profile

• Proven experience in sales engineering or technical sales within laboratory‑related industries.
• Strong understanding of O&G, water, wastewater, power, petrochemical, and research institute markets.
• Ability to develop and nurture client relationships and execute strategic business plans.
• Excellent analytical and reporting skills to track market and project data.
• Knowledge of contract management and debt control processes.
