About the role

The Section Head for Sanitary & Tiles is responsible for leading the section’s sales team, ensuring excellent customer service, and driving profitability in line with business strategies. This role oversees daily operations, staff development, and the implementation of promotional activities to meet sales targets.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and motivate the sales team to achieve cash, credit, warranty, and accessory targets.
• Plan and execute promotional activities to boost sales performance.
• Analyze sales data with the team to identify growth opportunities.
• Handle customer complaints and inquiries, ensuring high service standards.
• Prepare work schedules, manage staffing levels, and oversee break periods, leaves, and vacations.
• Maintain merchandise presentation, pricing, and stock levels according to planograms.
• Implement security measures to protect merchandise.
• Report section performance, costs, and resource needs to the Store Manager.
• Conduct performance appraisals, coaching, and training for all section staff.
• Ensure a safe, clean, and compliant work environment.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading retail sales teams and achieving targets.
• Strong customer‑service orientation with the ability to resolve issues effectively.
• Excellent organizational skills for scheduling, inventory control, and merchandising.
• Ability to analyze sales data and implement improvement actions.
• Leadership qualities to coach, mentor, and develop staff.
• Knowledge of retail security and safety procedures.
