Senior Accountant – Immediate Joiner in Kuwait

About the role

We are a well‑established and growing company in Kuwait seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join our Finance Department. The role involves overseeing accounting operations, preparing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with local regulations and company policies.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review financial statements, reports, and reconciliations.
• Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger activities.
• Monitor cash flow, budgeting, and financial planning processes.
• Ensure accurate recording of transactions and month‑end closing.
• Prepare VAT and other statutory reports as required.
• Coordinate with auditors, banks, and regulatory authorities.
• Analyze financial data and provide recommendations to management.
• Maintain accounting records and enforce internal controls.
• Supervise and support junior accounting staff.

Required profile

• Minimum 3‑4 years of accounting experience, preferably in FMCG, trading, or distribution.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Professional qualifications such as CPA, ACCA, CMA are an advantage.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and budgeting.
• Excellent communication skills in English; Arabic is a plus.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

Required skills

• Proficiency with ERP systems and accounting software.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Competence in Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience preparing VAT and statutory reports.
