Senior Accountant - Luxury Retail

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to lead key accounting activities for a leading luxury retail organisation in Kuwait. The role combines financial reporting, treasury management and banking operations within a dynamic retail environment.

Key responsibilities

• Review journal entries, ensure accurate general ledger and subsidiary reconciliations.
• Oversee month‑end and year‑end closing processes and prepare financial statements, management reports and cash‑flow statements.
• Analyse financial performance, identify variances and recommend improvements.
• Manage accounts payable/receivable, treasury activities, cash‑flow, banking operations, Letters of Credit and Guarantees, and foreign‑exchange risk.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, financial planning and coordinate internal and external audits.
• Supervise junior accounting staff and ensure compliance with regulations and internal controls.

Required profile

• 5‑7 years of progressive accounting experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• Hands‑on experience in treasury management, banking facilities, LC/LG operations and FX risk.
• Experience in financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting and internal controls.
• Proficiency in ERP systems and advanced Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent command of English and Arabic; professional qualifications (ACCA, CPA, CMA) are a plus.
