Senior Commercial Manager

About the role

Tabby is launching its first local operation in Kuwait and needs a senior commercial leader to be the face of the business on the ground. You will act as the primary point of contact for merchants, handling escalations, building relationships and identifying market opportunities while collaborating with the regional account, sales and partnership teams.

Key responsibilities

• Represent Tabby locally, establishing strong relationships with key merchants and partners.
• Serve as the escalation point for merchant needs that require an in‑person presence.
• Promote Tabby at events, open doors and build the brand’s commercial presence in Kuwait.
• Identify gaps and untapped opportunities in the merchant portfolio and relay them to the appropriate teams.
• Collaborate with account management, sales and partnership teams to drive deal closure and account growth.
• Own and be accountable for GMV (and potentially revenue) targets for the Kuwait market, achieved through coordination rather than direct sales.
• Resolve merchant issues quickly, acting as a trusted local advisor and evangelist.

Required profile

• 5+ years experience in a commercial role such as account management, sales or partnerships, preferably in online or offline retail.
• Strong understanding of e‑commerce sales funnels and how merchants acquire, convert and grow customers.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to represent a brand externally and build relationships at all levels.
• Proven project‑management ability to deliver results through collaboration rather than direct execution.
• Commercial mindset with curiosity about business growth and the ability to navigate difficult conversations.
• Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, ambiguous environment typical of a new market launch.
