Senior Field Service Engineer – On‑site Technical Support

About the role

Roche is seeking a Senior Field Service Engineer to provide on‑site technical support for the installation, commissioning, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting of diagnostic equipment across Kuwait. You will travel to customer sites, ensuring equipment operates at peak performance and supporting healthcare professionals in delivering reliable results.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver planned system installations and perform installations according to Roche standards.
• Execute and document all service activities, including preventive and corrective maintenance.
• Maintain coverage and support in line with customer agreements and accreditation requirements.
• Escalate technical issues to internal stakeholders and follow up for resolution.
• Forecast spare‑part needs and manage inventory for assigned systems.
• Ensure key deliverables such as equipment uptime, customer satisfaction, and service value are met.
• Perform mandatory upgrades/modifications for all systems in the country.
• Provide expert technical opinions, recommend solutions, and mentor junior field service engineers.
• Handle administrative tasks including PPM scheduling, modifications, e‑services, service marketing, and revenue tracking.
• Develop strong customer relationships and communicate proactively about maintenance visits.

Required profile

• Proactive, customer‑focused technical professional with strong problem‑solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with internal teams and customers.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Biomedical, Electronic, Mechatronics, or a related field.

Required skills

• Biomedical or electronic engineering knowledge.
• Experience with system installation, commissioning, and preventive maintenance of diagnostic equipment.
• Strong troubleshooting and technical support skills.
• Ability to forecast spare‑part requirements and manage upgrades.
• Mentoring and knowledge‑transfer capabilities.
