Senior Finance Manager

About the role

Dasman Bilingual School, part of Cognita, is seeking a Senior Finance Manager to join its team in September 2026. Reporting directly to the CEO / Superintendent, the role safeguards the financial integrity and long-term sustainability of the school and acts as a strategic advisor to the leadership team. It balances day-to-day financial management with resource stewardship aligned with the school's mission.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the annual budgeting process, set budgetary controls across departments, monitor variances and prepare rolling forecasts and scenario plans
• Oversee monthly management accounts and annual financial statements
• Ensure compliance with Kuwait Ministry of Education regulations, external audit standards and internal governance, and liaise with external auditors
• Oversee accounts payable, receivable, payroll and procurement, and support procurement decisions with financial analysis
• Identify financial and operational risks and implement mitigation strategies
• Contribute to Health and Safety and Safeguarding strategies, incident reporting, training and emergency preparedness

Required profile

• Proven leadership experience managing finance teams
• At least five years' experience in regional leadership, preferably in Kuwait
• Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting with a CA/CPA
• Excellent communication skills in Arabic and English
