Senior HR Officer

About the role

The Senior HR Officer will act as a generalist partner to the business, supporting performance management, talent development, recruitment, payroll and employee engagement. Reporting to the HR Manager, the role also leads ad‑hoc HR projects and ensures HR best practices are upheld.

Key responsibilities

• Provide frontline HR advice to employees and managers on policies, performance, compensation, benefits and recruitment.
• Manage the full recruitment lifecycle, from job posting to onboarding.
• Coordinate workflows between HR, Payroll, Compensation & Benefits and Government Services.
• Deliver induction programmes and administer probationary and performance review processes.
• Work with line managers to develop improvement plans and support talent development initiatives.
• Handle HR transactions such as compensation changes, status updates, transfers and exits.
• Conduct employee relations investigations, disciplinary actions and exit interviews, analysing turnover data.
• Prepare HR reports, analyse trends and support retention strategies.
• Lead training coordination based on appraisal feedback and drive continuous HR improvement.

Required profile

• Strong communication skills with the ability to persuade using facts and logical arguments.
• Proven teamwork orientation, able to collaborate across functional boundaries.
• Effective planning and organisational abilities, capable of monitoring and adjusting plans.
• Experience in handling confidential information and maintaining data privacy.
• Ability to manage multiple HR projects and deliver results in a timely manner.
