Senior Interior Architect

About the role

BPM Architects is looking for a Senior Interior Architect to lead the design of high‑traffic commercial spaces in Kuwait. The successful candidate will combine creative concept development with strong technical coordination to deliver public areas, retail common zones, food courts and other customer‑facing environments.

Key responsibilities

• Lead interior design for public spaces, retail corridors, food courts and circulation areas.
• Develop concepts aligned with brand identity, operational needs and customer journey.
• Create material, finish, furniture, lighting, signage and wayfinding schemes.
• Prepare high‑quality presentations, mood boards, diagrams and client documentation.
• Produce detailed design packages from concept through construction documentation.
• Coordinate interior requirements with architectural, structural, MEP, lighting and specialist disciplines.
• Review shop drawings, material submissions, samples and mock‑ups.
• Conduct site inspections, monitor quality and resolve design or technical issues.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Interior Architecture, Interior Design, Architecture or related field.
• Minimum eight years of professional experience in interior architecture or design.
• Proven track record in shopping malls, retail common areas, food courts, hospitality or large public interiors.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating commercial interior design, concept development and detailed documentation.
• Deep understanding of customer journeys, circulation planning, wayfinding and accessibility.
