Senior Manager – Professional Education, Surgery (MEA)

About the role

The Senior Manager, Professional Education – Surgery (MEA) will lead the development and execution of a regional education strategy that supports the adoption of Johnson & Johnson MedTech surgical solutions across the Middle East and Africa. Reporting to the Medical Affairs group, the role works closely with commercial, marketing, regulatory and compliance teams to deliver high‑impact learning experiences for surgeons, nurses and allied health professionals.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and continuously improve a comprehensive professional education program aligned with business priorities and clinical evidence.
• Translate commercial and clinical objectives into educational initiatives that drive product adoption and procedural excellence.
• Identify capability gaps and educational opportunities across markets, specialties and customer segments.
• Organise and deliver workshops, webinars, hands‑on training and other learning formats for surgical teams.
• Collaborate with external healthcare professionals, key opinion leaders and internal stakeholders to ensure content relevance and compliance.
• Measure the impact of education activities on clinical outcomes and business performance.

Required profile

• Proven experience in medical or surgical education, preferably within a MedTech or pharmaceutical environment.
• Strong understanding of surgical products, procedures and clinical evidence.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to work cross‑functionally.
• Demonstrated ability to develop strategic education plans and execute them at a regional level.
• Fluent in English; additional language skills for the MEA region are a plus.
