Senior Odoo Accountant

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Odoo Accountant to lead our accounting function using the Odoo ERP system. The role combines deep accounting knowledge with hands‑on Odoo expertise to ensure accurate, compliant and efficient financial operations.

Key responsibilities

• Manage full‑cycle accounting operations including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and Fixed Assets.
• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements.
• Perform bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies promptly.
• Monitor cash flow and support budgeting and forecasting activities.
• Ensure compliance with IFRS/GAAP and local regulations.
• Lead implementation, configuration and optimisation of Odoo accounting modules.
• Maintain and improve financial workflows within Odoo.
• Troubleshoot system issues and coordinate with IT or external Odoo consultants.
• Generate and customise financial reports from Odoo.
• Prepare management reports, KPIs and financial dashboards.
• Conduct variance analysis and provide actionable insights.
• Ensure tax compliance (VAT, corporate tax) and file returns accurately and on time.
• Liaise with external auditors and manage audit processes.
• Supervise and mentor junior accountants, reviewing work for accuracy and meeting deadlines.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field; CPA, CMA or ACCA preferred.
• 5+ years of accounting experience, with at least 2–3 years using Odoo ERP.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities with high attention to detail.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
