Senior Officer – Satellite Technology

About the role

The Kuwait National Space Research Centre (KNSRC) is seeking a Senior Officer to support satellite technology activities across the full mission lifecycle. The role involves translating mission objectives into technical requirements, assisting in system design, integration, testing, launch preparation, and operational follow‑up.

Key responsibilities

• Support development and execution of satellite missions, including system definition, integration, testing, launch preparation, commissioning and operational follow‑up.
• Assist in converting mission goals into subsystem specifications, payload requirements and implementation plans under senior guidance.
• Contribute to technical studies, feasibility assessments, schedule inputs and risk identification.
• Monitor mission performance, investigate technical issues and support corrective actions during operations.
• Participate in subsystem design, interface alignment, verification, change control and ground‑segment tool maintenance.
• Carry out functional, performance and environmental testing to confirm readiness of systems and subsystems.
• Maintain engineering and testing facilities such as electronics and sensor laboratories and environmental test equipment.
• Coordinate with internal teams, satellite vendors, launch service providers and other external stakeholders.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Aerospace, Systems, Mechanical, Electronics, Instrumentation or a related field recognized by the Ministry of Higher Education.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in satellite technology or a related engineering field.
• Proficiency in English and Arabic.
