Senior Operations Officer

About the role

Rateb is a digital wallet operating in Kuwait, focusing on digital payments for domestic workers and their employers. The Senior Operations Officer will own day‑to‑day operations, ensuring smooth, compliant and efficient service delivery across product, technology, customer support and external partners.

Key responsibilities

• Lead daily operations and operational teams, ensuring secure, accurate transaction processing.
• Define, document, and improve operational processes; set KPIs and monitor service performance.
• Drive continuous‑improvement initiatives across the service.
• Manage compliance with local regulations, alongside risk and incident management.
• Coordinate with banks, exchange companies, and internal teams to resolve operational issues.
• Own operational resource planning and budgeting.
• Report performance and risks to senior leadership.
• Support onboarding and training of new operational staff.

Required profile

• Proven operations leadership, preferably in payments, fintech, banking or exchange/remittance.
• Familiarity with Kuwait’s regulatory environment and financial‑services compliance.
• Track record of building processes and KPIs from the ground up.
• Experience coordinating across technical and external partners.
• Fluency in English and Arabic; additional languages a plus.
