Senior Payroll Accountant

About the role

Boutiqaat is seeking a Senior Payroll Accountant to own payroll accounting, employee‑related financial transactions, and payroll reporting. You will ensure accurate recording, reconciliation, and confidentiality of all compensation data.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee monthly payroll accounting, verify inputs and ensure accurate recording of salaries, bonuses, overtime, deductions and benefits.
• Calculate and reconcile end‑of‑service indemnity provisions, leave accruals, staff loans and employee advances.
• Prepare payroll journal entries, reconciliation schedules and support month‑end, quarter‑end and year‑end closing activities.
• Maintain compliance with company policies, labor regulations and support internal and external audits.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to resolve discrepancies, strengthen controls and drive ERP/payroll system improvements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, HR or related field.
• 5–7 years of experience in payroll accounting or employee‑related financial accounting.
• Strong knowledge of general ledger, journal entries, balance‑sheet reconciliations and financial closing procedures.
• Fluency in English; Arabic is a plus.
• Exceptional attention to detail, analytical and problem‑solving abilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency with ERP systems, preferably Microsoft Dynamics.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Experience with HRIS and payroll systems.
• Understanding of applicable accounting standards, labor regulations and payroll compliance.
