Service Technician

About the role

As a Service Technician at Hitachi Energy you will ensure that our power grid products and systems operate at peak performance. You will work directly with customers, performing installations, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting and repairs while upholding the company’s safety and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine and preventive maintenance on a variety of Hitachi equipment and systems.
• Diagnose faults, replace defective components, and execute repairs in accordance with quality and safety protocols.
• Provide clear technical support and guidance to customers on site.
• Document all service activities, parts used and maintenance performed accurately and promptly.
• Collaborate with engineering and sales teams to relay product performance feedback and customer needs.
• Travel to customer locations as required and adhere to all company policies and safety regulations.

Required profile

• Associate’s degree in electrical engineering or a technical diploma.
• At least 2 years of experience as a Service Technician or in a similar technical support role.
• Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude with the ability to read schematics and technical manuals.
• Willingness to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting equipment and working in varied environments.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.

Required skills

• Proficiency with hand and power tools.
• Experience operating diagnostic equipment.
• Familiarity with diagnostic software and service management systems.
• Ability to interpret electrical schematics and technical documentation.
