Shipping & Logistics Officer – Kuwait

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Shipping & Logistics Officer to manage international and local shipments, coordinate logistics operations, and ensure the smooth movement of goods while complying with all shipping regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate import and export shipments by sea, air, and land.
• Manage relationships with freight forwarders, shipping lines, customs brokers, and transport providers.
• Prepare and review shipping documents such as Bills of Lading, Commercial Invoices, Packing Lists, Certificates of Origin, and customs paperwork.
• Track shipments and provide regular status updates to management and clients.
• Negotiate freight rates and logistics contracts to achieve cost savings.
• Ensure compliance with customs regulations and international trade requirements.
• Coordinate warehouse, transportation, and delivery schedules.
• Resolve shipping delays, claims, and logistics‑related issues.
• Maintain accurate shipping records and logistics reports.
• Support procurement and supply‑chain activities as needed.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or a related field.
• 3‑5 years of experience in shipping, freight forwarding, logistics or supply‑chain operations.
• Strong knowledge of international shipping procedures, Incoterms and customs clearance processes.
• Experience handling sea‑freight containers, air‑freight shipments and land transportation.
• Familiarity with shipping documentation and trade‑compliance requirements.
• Fluency in English; additional languages are a plus.
