About the role
Amentum is seeking a Singhalese linguist to provide language and cultural expertise for U.S. military operations in Kuwait. The role supports senior leadership with translation, interpretation, and analysis of foreign language material.
Key responsibilities
- Interpret during interviews, meetings, and conferences for military personnel.
- Transcribe and analyze verbal communications in Singhalese.
- Scan, research, and analyze foreign language documents for key information.
- Provide a variety of translation and interpretation services.
Required profile
- U.S. citizen with a current passport.
- Active Secret clearance and willingness to obtain residency in Kuwait.
- ILR Level 3 proficiency in Singhalese and Level 2+ in English (oral and written).
- Ability to work shifts, extended hours, and 24/7 operations.
Required skills
- Fluency in Singhalese and English.
- Experience with translation, interpretation, and transcription.
- Familiarity with local culture and customs.
- Ability to undergo medical examination and meet MOD15 requirements.
