TCP Specialist - Wireline Services

About the role

The TCP Specialist – Wireline Services is responsible for planning, preparing and executing Tubing Conveyed Perforating (TCP) operations safely and efficiently to support customer well‑completion and intervention activities. Working closely with customers, drilling and completion teams, and field engineers, the specialist acts as the technical lead for TCP projects in both onshore and offshore environments.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and carry out TCP operations in line with engineering programs, customer requirements and company procedures.
• Prepare, inspect, assemble, test and maintain TCP equipment, perforating guns, firing heads, setting tools and related down‑hole gear.
• Handle explosive materials in compliance with safety regulations, transportation, storage and usage standards.
• Conduct pre‑job planning, risk assessments, Job Safety Analyses (JSAs) and operational briefings.
• Supervise rig‑up, pressure testing, execution, troubleshooting and rig‑down at customer well sites.
• Monitor performance, resolve technical issues and produce accurate operational reports and post‑job documentation.
• Investigate failures, perform root‑cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain inventory, ensure proper storage and preservation of TCP tools and explosives.
• Mentor junior engineers and support new technology trials and continuous‑improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Proven experience with TCP systems and well‑completion operations.
• Strong knowledge of explosive safety regulations and pressure‑control equipment.
• Ability to work safely in on‑site environments and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
