Technical Services Engineer – Kuwait

About the role

The Technical Services Engineer will act as the primary technical resource for Packers Plus tools and equipment, supporting the sales team and ensuring successful application of completion designs across oilfield projects in Kuwait.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the sales team with completion proposals, job designs, and tender support.
• Validate project specifications to confirm tool suitability for intended applications.
• Provide on‑call technical assistance and present tool operations to clients.
• Maintain engineering aspects of product designs, identify risk factors, and propose alternative solutions.
• Create calculations, simulations, and sales‑proposal drawings as required.
• Conduct post‑job analysis, summarise findings, and develop lessons learned for future projects.
• Review all technical reports for accuracy, grammar, and technical correctness before client submission.

Required profile

• University degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Petroleum or a related engineering discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in oilfield completions, liner hangers, and multi‑stage completions.
• Field experience is an asset.
• Professional Engineering Association membership and H2S, First Aid, WHMIS certifications are advantageous.
• Ability to travel internationally and adapt to flexible schedules.

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Strong knowledge of oilfield completions, down‑hole tools, packers, liner hangers, and Packers Plus systems.
• Capability to perform torque and drag simulations, tube‑move analysis, and axial‑load analysis.
• Applied mathematics and mechanical aptitude.
