About the role

Marriott Executive Apartments is hiring a full-time, non-management washer/presser in Kuwait City (Abdel Moneim Ryadh Street). The role covers operating and monitoring laundry and dry-cleaning machinery, handling stained or damaged items and keeping accurate records of what is laundered.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and monitor washing, dry-cleaning and drying machinery, adding chemicals and cleaning lint traps.
• Identify stained or damaged items and decide whether they need repair, spot treatment, rewash or discard.
• Inspect articles coming out of machines, place them in clean linen carts and set dryers to the right times and temperatures for each fabric.
• Remove lint and debris from dryer screens, dry-cleaning filters and drain traps after each load.
• Fold cleaned articles by hand or with a folding machine and keep accurate records of items laundered.
• Follow safety and security policies, report accidents and unsafe conditions, complete safety training and certifications, and keep proprietary information confidential.
• Maintain quality standards, suggest improvements to efficiency, productivity, safety and cost savings, and visually inspect tools and equipment for defects.

Required profile

• No high school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent required.
• No related work experience or supervisory experience required.
• No license or certification required.
• Ability to stand, sit or walk for long periods, lift objects up to 25 pounds, move through narrow or elevated spaces and reach overhead and below the knees.
