Digital Printing Machine Operator – MGI Jetvarnish 3D / iFOIL

About the role

AlKhat Printing Press is seeking a full‑time, hybrid Digital Printing Machine Operator to run its MGI Jetvarnish 3D Sport UV and iFOIL equipment. You will be responsible for producing high‑quality UV spot varnish and foil effects on a variety of printed materials while supporting the pre‑press and design teams.

Key responsibilities

• Set up, calibrate and operate the MGI Jetvarnish 3D or iFOIL machine.
• Prepare print files, load substrates and monitor print runs for quality and safety.
• Perform routine maintenance, basic mechanical adjustments and troubleshoot issues.
• Document production data, job details and coordinate with pre‑press and design teams.
• Manage materials, optimise workflow and contribute to continuous improvement of print quality and efficiency.

Required profile

• Experience operating digital printing machinery, preferably MGI Jetvarnish 3D, iFOIL or similar UV/foil systems.
• Knowledge of print production processes, substrate handling and basic colour‑management.
• Ability to read job tickets, artwork files and technical specifications.
• Strong attention to detail, quality‑control mindset and safety awareness.
• Basic mechanical troubleshooting skills and comfort using print‑related software.
• Effective communication and collaboration in a hybrid work environment.
• Physical ability to stand for extended periods and handle materials safely.
• Previous experience in a commercial printing or packaging environment is preferred; vocational training or certification in printing technology is an advantage.
