Full/Associate/Assistant Professor – Electrical Engineering

About the role

American International University in Jahra, Kuwait invites applications for a full‑time faculty position in Electrical Engineering at the Assistant, Associate or Full Professor level. The successful candidate will join the School of Engineering & Computing, delivering undergraduate courses, advancing curriculum, mentoring students and maintaining an active research agenda.

Key responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate courses covering core and advanced topics such as electrical circuits, electronics, signals and systems, control systems, power systems, digital systems, communications, embedded systems and automation.
• Design and supervise hands‑on laboratory sessions that incorporate current industry standards, simulation tools and emerging technologies.
• Integrate artificial intelligence, computational tools and industry‑standard engineering software into teaching and research activities.
• Develop, review and continuously improve curricula, course materials and assessment strategies in line with accreditation and industry requirements.
• Provide mentorship to students, supervise projects and contribute to departmental service and collaborative initiatives with industry partners.

Required profile

• Demonstrated excellence in university‑level teaching.
• Active research record in Electrical Engineering or related fields.
• Ability to engage with emerging technologies and interdisciplinary methodologies.
• Willingness to contribute to a collaborative, inclusive and multicultural academic environment.
