Patient Care Tech I - 3rd Floor Rehab

About the role

The Patient Care Tech I works on the 3rd Floor Rehab during the night shift, providing essential bedside assistance to patients and their families. This role requires compassion, strong communication, and the ability to collaborate with the broader healthcare team to ensure comprehensive patient care.

Key responsibilities

• Assist patients and families with basic care, hygiene, and monitoring.
• Provide compassionate, patient‑centered interaction throughout the night shift.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the multidisciplinary healthcare team.
• Support the rehab team on the 3rd floor by ensuring care tasks are completed.

Required profile

• Completion of at least 12 college credit hours, including a passing grade in English Composition (C or higher) and a minimum overall GPA of 2.0 (transcripts verified).
• Willingness to work flexible night hours (6:30 pm – 7:00 am) and a total of 72 hours bi‑weekly.
• Strong organizational, verbal and written communication abilities.
• Ability to learn and apply new healthcare‑related skills and to collaborate consistently with the care team.
• Proactive problem‑solving attitude and capacity to anticipate patient needs.

Required skills

• CPR certification (provided).
