About the role

The Patient Care Technician (PCT) provides basic patient care, monitoring, and hygiene assistance to patients and their families on the 3rd Floor Rehab unit. Working closely with the healthcare team, the PCT ensures that care is complete and communicates effectively with patients, families, and staff.

Key responsibilities

  • Assist patients and families with daily care activities, hygiene, and monitoring.
  • Ensure all aspects of patient care are completed according to standards.
  • Collaborate with the multidisciplinary healthcare team to coordinate patient needs.
  • Maintain clear and compassionate communication with patients, families, and staff.

Required profile

  • Completion of 12 college credit hours, including English Composition with a grade of C or higher and a minimum GPA of 2.0 (transcripts verified).
  • Willingness to work flexible day shifts from 6:30 am to 7:00 pm, totaling 72 hours bi‑weekly.
  • Strong organizational, verbal, and written communication abilities.
  • Ability to learn and apply new healthcare‑related skills and proactively anticipate patient needs.
