Purchasing Officer

About the role

Boutiqaat is seeking a detail‑oriented Purchasing Officer to ensure product availability and smooth supply‑chain operations in the fast‑moving beauty and cosmetics sector. You will act as the central hub between suppliers and internal teams, driving timely, cost‑effective deliveries.

Key responsibilities

• Create accurate purchase orders covering quantities, specifications and timelines.
• Track shipments, monitor order status, and resolve delivery delays, quality issues or discrepancies.
• Maintain optimal stock levels to avoid overstock and stock‑outs.
• Forecast demand using historical data, promotions and market trends.
• Conduct inventory audits and ensure stock accuracy.
• Collaborate with purchasing, warehouse and marketing teams to align product listings and category assortment.
• Coordinate shipping, customs clearance and address any shipment discrepancies.
• Track supplier lead times and quality standards.
• Generate reports on purchasing activity, stock levels and product performance.
• Provide data‑driven recommendations for operational improvements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of purchasing/procurement experience, preferably in beauty & cosmetics.
• Fluent English with strong analytical, negotiation and customer‑oriented mindset.
• Exceptional attention to detail and ability to forecast demand.
• Skilled in vendor communication, logistics coordination and actionable reporting.
