Software Development Manager

About the role

We are looking for a Software Development Manager to lead the design, development, and maintenance of enterprise and custom applications. The role bridges business stakeholders, system analysts, infrastructure teams, and external partners to ensure solutions are scalable, secure, and aligned with business goals.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of developers, set objectives, evaluate performance, and provide coaching.
• Oversee the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) to deliver projects on time, within scope, and to quality standards.
• Define and enforce development best practices, including coding standards, source control, testing, release management, security, and change management.
• Manage design, development, maintenance, and modernization of business‑critical applications and enterprise solutions.
• Provide technical leadership for application architecture, solution design, and system integration.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to identify process improvement and technology enablement opportunities.
• Lead front‑end and back‑end development efforts to build high‑performing, secure applications.
• Oversee integrations between enterprise applications, databases, reporting platforms, and third‑party systems.
• Drive performance optimization, reliability, and security enhancements.
• Support reporting and analytics initiatives by enabling data repositories and business intelligence solutions.
• Review and approve technical designs, code quality, and deliverables to ensure compliance with standards.
• Manage deployment activities, environment management, version control, and release processes.
• Partner with project teams and business users to prioritize enhancements and roadmap development.

Required profile

• Proven leadership experience managing software development teams.
• Strong technical expertise across both front‑end and back‑end development.
• Experience delivering solutions in enterprise environments.
• Ability to balance strategic planning with hands‑on technical oversight.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with business and technical stakeholders.
