System Administrator – Junior POS IT Support

About the role

We are seeking a proactive Junior POS IT Support professional to ensure the smooth operation of Point‑of‑Sale (POS) systems and related equipment. The role involves providing day‑to‑day technical assistance, troubleshooting issues quickly, and maintaining uninterrupted business operations.

Key responsibilities

• Install, configure, and support POS terminals, printers, barcode scanners, and payment devices.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, and connectivity problems affecting POS equipment.
• Provide first‑level IT support for POS‑related incidents and service requests.
• Perform basic Windows installation, configuration, and troubleshooting on desktops and POS devices.
• Assist with LAN, Wi‑Fi, and network connectivity issues impacting POS systems.
• Coordinate with senior IT staff or vendors to resolve complex technical problems.
• Carry out routine maintenance, software updates, and health checks for POS devices.
• Maintain accurate records of IT assets, support tickets, and equipment inventory.
• Ensure timely resolution of requests while adhering to IT procedures and documentation standards.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of experience in POS IT support, helpdesk, or desktop support.
• Hands‑on experience with POS terminals and peripheral devices.
• Good knowledge of Windows operating systems and basic computer hardware.
• Basic understanding of networking concepts (LAN, TCP/IP, Wi‑Fi).
• Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving abilities.
• Effective communication skills and professional user support.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple support requests.
