VTC Technician I

About the role

The VTC Technician I will set up, operate and maintain video teleconferencing (VTC) equipment for conferences and events, ensuring reliable audio‑visual communication for customers worldwide. Reporting to the Site Manager, the technician provides both secure and non‑secure connectivity and supports the VTC Bridge for all attached circuits.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate with customers to confirm equipment readiness and set up VTC consoles, cameras, microphones, DVRs and computers.
• Establish end‑to‑end secure and non‑secure network connections, route cables, and adjust sound and lighting for optimal performance.
• Troubleshoot VTC and connectivity issues with local and remote technical control facilities, including modem configuration and data timing.
• Perform weekly preventive maintenance on all VTC hardware and administer the VTC Bridge.
• Provide technical support for all VTC circuits and execute additional duties as required.

Required profile

• Active Secret security clearance.
• High school diploma or GED; 5 + years of experience in video teleconferencing or audio‑video production.
• Ability to work rotating shifts covering 24 hours, 7 days a week.
• Eligibility to obtain and maintain a host‑nation visa and driver’s license.
• Customer‑service orientation and ability to work in a multinational environment.

• Desktop and laptop computer proficiency.
• Secure and non‑secure network connectivity setup.
• Cable routing and audio/video signal management.
• Sound and lighting level adjustment.
• Troubleshooting VTC systems and connectivity problems.
• Modem configuration and data timing/transfer rate settings.
• VTC Bridge administration and weekly equipment maintenance.
