Business Director – Parts & Group Logistics

About the role

The Business Director for Parts and Group Logistics leads the sales, import, warehousing and distribution functions to drive growth, profitability and operational excellence across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Develop strategic plans and budgets for parts sales, logistics and distribution to achieve long‑term growth targets.
• Analyse market trends and implement best practices in inventory, warehousing and distribution.
• Lead pricing, product mix, promotions and commercial activities to meet profit, sales and market‑share goals.
• Set and monitor customer satisfaction targets (NPS) for parts services.
• Forecast warehousing and distribution needs, plan inventory levels and ensure service‑level agreements are met.
• Oversee acquisition and management of facilities and equipment to support logistics requirements.
• Design logistics infrastructure that balances delivery lead‑times, inventory turnover and cost efficiency.
• Implement processes to reduce obsolete, damaged or short stock items.
• Review business processes, analyse statistical data and launch improvement initiatives to meet financial targets.
• Ensure regular and surprise physical inventory counts, document discrepancies and enforce corrective actions.
• Maintain compliance with group policies in purchasing, IT, HR and other areas.
• Represent the group in negotiations with principals on product mix, pricing, marketing, supply chain and competition.
• Enforce health and safety standards for inventory and distribution operations.

Required profile

• Proven leadership experience in parts sales, logistics or supply‑chain management.
• Strong strategic planning and budgeting capabilities.
• Ability to analyse market trends and drive operational improvements.
• Excellent negotiation and stakeholder‑management skills.
