Career Services Coordinator

About the role

The Career Services Coordinator is a core professional staff member of the Career Services Center at American International University. Reporting to the Director, the role delivers student‑centered career support, manages internship and on‑campus employment programs, and coordinates employer relations and events.

Key responsibilities

• Provide one‑on‑one career coaching, resume reviews, cover‑letter assistance and mock interviews.
• Design and deliver group workshops on job search strategies, networking and career preparation.
• Maintain the AIU External Internship Portal, track student placements and ensure compliance with academic requirements.
• Collaborate with deans, department chairs and faculty to align internship activities with curricula.
• Manage the On‑Campus Student Employment Program (OSEP), including job postings, applications, timesheets and placement tracking.
• Plan and execute the annual AIU Career Fair, handling logistics, vendor coordination and employer outreach.
• Administer career‑center digital platforms (e.g., Big Interview, AI tools), troubleshoot issues and create user resources.
• Produce monthly newsletters, event flyers and social‑media content to promote services.
• Collect and analyse data on attendance, placements and satisfaction to generate reports and recommendations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and Arabic.
• Excellent interpersonal abilities to guide diverse student populations.
• Proven organizational skills to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.
• Ability to work independently and as a collaborative team member.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience with career‑center platforms and databases.
• Familiarity with digital design/communication tools.
• Knowledge of modern AI productivity tools.
